E.R. Nurses Getting Hurt
It continues to be dangerous for Nurses in the ER.
Close to 98% of ER nurses in the US reported verbal harassment and about 67% reported physical violence. As is reported by the Health Promoting Hospitals and Health Services International Conference thats been held in Berlin, Germany.
In Canada about 84 percent of ER nurses have witnessed verbal harassment once in every shift (in Canada?). In Australia, there are 70 percent of nurses whoexperience violence at least five times a week.
It seems that ER nurses are falling victims to an increase in violence in the emergency dept. of many hospitals.
